14 Days of Love: by Jill

The Love List for today comes to us from my sister-in-law {Jill}. When my husband (then boyfriend) first introduced me to his sister we were at the bowling alley. She was wearing her own bowling shoes. Bowling shoes she owns. Did you hear that? She owns bowling shoes. Do people get cooler than that? From that moment I decided she was awesome. Since then, she's learned Mandarin Chinese, cooked me many delicious oriental meals including a soup with the craziest looking yet alarmingly delicious mushrooms, and gone to graduate school. She just keeps getting awesomer.

Here's what Jill loves:

  1. Waking up to the smell of breakfast
  2. Late nights spent talking to my mom and sisters
  3. Reading dictionaries and learning new words so that I can astound people with my awesome vocabulary
  4. Warm socks on cold feet
  5. Michael Bublé...and other dreamy Canadians...
  6. Dr. Pepper and Peanut Butter M&Ms
  7. Blue skies, warm suns, and the smell of earth and grass in the summer
  8. All things Taiwanese
  9. Using my passport and exploring new places, cultures, and cuisines
  10. Homemade chocolate chip cookies
  11. Clearance shopping
  12. Watching things grow
  13. Finding or creating a new favorite recipe
  14. Random bubbles of laughter that escape while remembering something that happened a long time ago but still makes you laugh every time you think about it

Lovely. But I can't imagine holding still long enough to actually watch something growing. The rest - I'm there.
