The Shoe Obsession Goes to Church

Yesterday after church I picked Maggie up from the nursery. As we headed down the hall I looked down and noticed that the shoes she was wearing were not hers.

We ducked back into the nursery to find poor Sister Rupp scratching her head trying to figure out why Maggie's friend Ella's shoes weren't fitting on her feet. It was because they were Maggie's shoes.

Apparently Maggie had pulled a fast one when her teacher asked which shoes were hers.

Oh the fit she threw when I took them off! I guess she really thought she'd get away with it.

That's awesome! Wow...she's a tricky one! I love your stories, Megan! Thanks for the note on my blog too...I'll be sure to inform Christopher that there will be lots more Momo come fall! :) (I'm so glad other moms have TV watching kids too...it makes me feel like slightly less of a failure.)

HA! Girl after my own heart. I love it when you go to the temple for a ceiling and you see all of those shoes lined up. I've been tempted a time or two like Maggie to pick some pretty funky ones that I liked better than mine....

that is hilarious. We had a little girl in my last nursery who would do that. She would kife people's shoes and take off. Silly little girls.

My daughters have never done a switcheroo like that but they definitely love shoes!! And the shoes you picked for the picture on this post are the shoes that my 5 year old used to wear! They were so great 'cause she could get them on all by herself.

that is too funny! once we were invited to chuck-e-cheese's for a b-day party. kadin put his tennis shoes in the bin to play in the ball pit. at the end, he found his shoes... except they were for 2 LEFT FEET!!! i walked around the ENTIRE place searching for who might have accidentally grabbed 2 RIGHT shoes. we never did find anyone. i mean, wouldn't the kids have noticed? you'd think he would have walked funny. we ended up leaving one of the left shoes there, in case the people came back for it. Then we made a stop at Wal-mart on the way home for an unplanned shoe purchase... ugh!

Somebody we knew lost her Docs at the skating rink just that way. Oh, man, Megs. My mom used to warn me about the Rest of My Life with Ginna. Ha.
