Present from the Past

Last weekend I got a package in the mail. It was from one of my dearest friends, Emalee Squire, that I met as a missionary for my church. We worked together for 3 blissful months and had so many hilarious adventures together that I will have to save for a later post (here's a Cliff's Notes version: we made brownies for breakfast every morning, she was a hairstylist and did my hair for me every day, we amused ourselves by throwing grapes and cherries at the street light below our balcony at night, etc. But there's more, lots more.)

Upon opening the package, I found that it contained one (1) giraffe print jacket--the same giraffe print jacket that we had fought over at a Hungarian thrift store 5 years earlier. She bought it because she'd found it first. And it really added some pizazz to her missionary wardrobe.

And now it's mine so I can wear it around the house with greasy hair and no make-up (besides the smudges under my eyes):
And what accessory should you always have with a giraffe print jacket? A bear coat-ed baby, of course:

I got my baby at a 2 for 1 sale. He's so cute they had to make 2 of him.

Hold a sec.......is it just me or does that coat make your hair look darker? Cuz last time I saw you it was blond. Cute hair! And that baby cub is adorable with his cute little slobbery grin.

I can honestly say I have never wanted a giraffe print coat so much. You wear it splendidly, darling.
