I've Decided:

  • No candy dishes. Really there aren't any candies I can think of that I don't like or won't eat. The same goes for Maggie. So we really don't need that kind of temptation around, do we?
  • I'll go to the library and see if they have any exercise videos to check out. Then I can try out a couple and not feel bad if it turns out I can't stand them.
  • I really want to make a craft. But turns out I'm busy crafting children, so I'll try not to feel bad that I haven't been super creative lately.
  • I really like this quote: "Being powerful is like being a lady. If you have to tell people you are, you aren't." --Margaret Thatcher (I think the same could be said about being humble, or spiritual, or funny, or any number of things.)

Good decisions Megs. How 'bout this summer we craft? Have you started your quilts for your kids? I'm just wondering if you know what kind of quilts you're going to make? (Not to stress you out w/that question either!) Janelle is pregnant and I'm looking for a cute quilt to make her... I have lots of cute sites if you want me to forward them to you. But then again- you have your mom has a great reference!

I love that quote! You are so good, I always have a candy dish out for company...I think when it's out all the time though, you forget about it :)

That is funny because I have exactly the same "fight" with myself. I love candy. For so many reasons. I was thinking today that maybe I should allow myself a little (1 piece, 3 pieces, whatever) every day, but make myself run up and down my big flight of stairs 10 times first for each piece. ???? What do you think?

Oh, and I love the quote by Margaret Thatcher. My last companion used to say, "If you have to TELL somebody you're a good missionary, you're not." (SO TRUE!) I bet that's where she got it. :)

Yeah, so I guess you didn't dig that suggestion about the peppers?

By the way, you have to check out the posting I did tonight. It's a crack up. You should see your parents. I laughed when I found this like I haven't laughed for a long time.

I say bring the candy dishes out when it's REALLY worth it, like Easter time with the dad-gum Cadbury mini-eggs. That's when I have my holiday weight gain. Those little buggers are the devil's candy.
