Our Maggie is one tough girl. To prove it she now carries around her toughness handbook: "Tough Boris" by Mem Fox. It is her favorite book--all about how tough pirates are. She is learning to be scruffy, greedy, massive, tough, and even scary. She seriously loves this book and will stare at the pictures. Its also currently the only book she will listen to me read to her. That's tough.
To show Maggie that I'm tough, too, just look at what I did. I realized that I don't have to fight with her about the bookshelves. We're moving (okay, probably not for another 4-5 months, but whatever) so I packed up the bottom shelves of both bookcases. She's found plenty else to busy herself with ('cause she's tougher than I'll ever be), but at least it has limited her mess making.
And for one more illustration of the toughness of Mags, here is the horse we borrowed from Grandma. Maggie loves to sit and climb on it. But she doesn't ride it from room to room. She carries it. She grunts like a weight lifter. Just check out those guns!
