Life is so Great!

I love it when people ask me "How's it goin'" because I think its fun to totally surprise them with an enthusiastic "So GREAT!" Anyway, this week truly has been great. It's already been incredibly busy and we have fun plans every night. Here are some of the shenanigans we've been up to so far:Colette's Ice Cream Party was Monday night. This little niece of ours is hilarious. She is just like her aunts who love to plan parties and events and know just how to manage a crowd. The ice cream party started off with a craft project: making ghosts out of kleenex tissue. We then moved on to a spiritual lesson using a puzzle of Jonah and the Whale. Next, we sang "Do as I'm Doing" and ended with an "opening" prayer by everyone's favorite uncle: Ryan. After the banana splits we played with Playdoh and listened to Colette sing a kindergarten song medley (most of the lyrics were unintelligible, but the enthusiasm was unmatched). You just should have seen her calling everyone's attention for each activity she had personally planned and prepared. Priceless.Tonight I had a blast pulling out the Hunglish and reminiscing with one of my old mission companions, Emalee Squire, and Dawnell Groberg (who never was my companion even though I begged President in more than one letter to give me the opportunity--we did get to live in the same apartment though, which was almost as good). Squire has just moved from St. George to Grantsville and boy am I glad! Being in closer proximity will now do wonders for my spirits (she gets me laughing harder than anybody) and my hair (this girl has a gift with scissors!). Groberg is GETTING MARRIED. And if anybody deserves to have found someone to make them happy--its Groberg. Her sassy humor, facial expressions, and understanding of what makes me tick make her an indespensible friend. There's just something about trying to learn how to conjugate Hungarian verbs that cements friendships, I guess. Dawnell brought along Liz who is a doll and has become one of us. She traveled with Groberg, Squire, and Rosie to Hungary this summer. And she's heard all of our mission stories enough to actually tell them as though she were there at the time. At the end of the night, Dan and I got to sit on the couch and chat. It seems like with Maggie, and work, and school, and church callings, I just don't get much one on one time with my man. It was really fun for me to be able to sit back and talk about important and trivial things with my very best friend. Thanks Danny for understanding me. I love you.

All in all, this week has been "So Great!" I look forward to another great day tomorrow. My baby turns 1!

Your hair is SO cute! I love it. Your page is so cute, but what would you expect from YOU?! Everything you do has an official stamp of cuteness. :)

Hey there Buddy,

Very cool blog. Happy birthday to your baby. I know what you mean about the once in a while moments after the children are asleep when you get to sit and actually talk (what a novelty!) with your eternal companion. There's nothing quite like it.
