Styrofoam Snow Man

Maggie and I felt like getting creative around Christmas time, so we made some new friends:

We used styrofoam balls, sewing pins, pom pom fuzzies, and some left over felt.

Maggie became so enamored with this lady that she decided to make her a portrait to display in her room for the winter.  My favorite part was when she asked me "How you spell 'her cute'?"

Is it bad that I'm going to be really sad when my kids figure out the English language? Improper pronoun use is so stinking adorable.

Bravo, Maggie.

SOOOOOOOOOOOO CUTE, Megan!!! Love those. I would have never thought of the sewing pin idea, but they're perfect. Dar. ling.

Why? Did you really think it was bad? Wishing the sweet parts of having small children would last? Interesting, isn't it, how the difficult parts and the sweet parts come as a package deal. You can't get one without the other. One part, you can't wait for it to ripen and mature - the other part, you grieve over the thought that it might. I wonder if HF and his wife, or whoever he bounced his design and systems concepts off of - I wonder if they did this to us on purpose, knowing what it would cost?

In other words. Good for you for loving their innocence so much.
