A day or two before Christmas, Dan told me he needed to go to the thrift store to buy a dictionary. "We have dictionaries," I told him. But he went and bought one anyway. I had no idea he had this project in mind. It was the most thoughtful and sweet gift I'd received in a long time.
I love how "a" stands for "artful" since one of Maggie's favorite words has always been "tricky." And "intelligent" for "i" is also great because she's constantly telling me she's smart.
Cole is definitely energetic. It would be nice if he were obedient. ha ha.
I especially love that "l" is for "laugh" because that is one of the things I love most about Will. When he laughs I can't help but laugh, too. It's the most intense little giggle.
I love that for mine, Dan made the "m" stand for "madrigal." The best choir at Dan's high school was called the "Madrigals" and I've heard a lot about how great they were. I never sang in choirs in my high school or jr. high, but I always told Dan "I could have been a Madrigal." I guess he agrees. The definition of "elite" is beautiful. I aspire to be the "choicest part." And as far as me being called "genteel", well, that would be nice if I were graceful and polite.
Thank you Dan, for these sweet name poems. We really love them.

Those are the best gifts ever!
I never knew Dan was so creative. I only hope he cut up a DI dictionary instead of a nice new one.

LOVE this. WILL be copying.
This is the nicest thing I have ever seen a husband do for a family. I hope you don't mind if I steal it. It will get me brownie points forever. I love the words he picked for you too.
This is adorable.
(and yes, the Madrigals were awesome!) :)
Your husband is so awesome and creative. You can let him know that he probably has wives all over the planet wondering why *their* husbands aren't as creative.
You're a lucky gal Megan. :)
I miss you too!!!
I absolutely love these! What a wonderful gift. I may have to steal this idea :)
