Perfect Match

My foxy husband Dan, the Senior Class President of Woods Cross High School Class of 2000 (Can I pick 'em or what?), was in charge of his high school reunion on Saturday. It was a lot of work. And a lot of fun!

I really didn't expect to have as much fun as I did. I mean, I didn't go to his high school. I only know a handful of his friends. And the reunion was at the University of Utah (not where a BYU grad feels most at ease). Plus, I figured while Dan was busy making sure things were running smoothly I'd be sitting in a corner spilling food on my dress.

But you know what? I had a ball! Dan's friends were so hilarious to talk to that I didn't feel dumb chilling without Dan the whole night while he was hosting. And everyone else that I met was so hilarious and nice that it made me wish I'd known them my whole life. Plus, there was a chocolate fountain. So, there was an abundance of nice people and chocolate covered cinnamon bears. And I didn't even spill on my dress until the party was over. My perfect world.

The best part of the night though was when my new 2 BFFs, {Natalie} and {Camille} came to talk to me and tell me that they loved reading my blog (really? my blog? this old thing?) Then they went on to say that they really thought Dan was the luckiest guy in the world to end up with me and they couldn't think of a more perfect match. They said that. Isn't that sweet? Then Camille said "And I'm happy to know what your laugh sounds like because I love Dan's laugh and I can now picture what they sound like together in all those funny pictures you take." I think she means ones like these:

I'm so happy I have my Danny and I'm happy to know I'm not the only one who thinks he's perfect for me.

Did Dan know that he had food in his teeth when this picture was snapped?

That is cool. Woods Cross, eh? Only the best high schools have their reunions at the U.

See? This is what I was talking about! The two of you: adorable.

It was so fun to meet you in person! You were everything I thought you'd be (except taller). I'll keep coming back to your blog for kicks and giggles, and hope that our paths cross again soon.

Thanks, Megan! :)

y'know it's funny... everyone always thinks i am outgoing and not shy. but in a situation like that... i would feel soooo out of my element. In fact, once Big-D took me to the Drum Corp show up @ Weber state with HIS friends... I swear I was going to have an anxiety attack. At one point, right before the show started, he leaned over to me and said something about going to use the restroom. I guess the panicked look on my face was enough to scream, "WHAT?!?!? AND LEAVE ME HERE ALONE WITH **YOUR** FRIENDS?"

Yeah... cuz I'm cool like that ;)

So... he took me with him! lol (well...er... not *IN* the restroom...)

Anyway - glad you had so much fun. FTR, I totally heart those Hinckleys! you definitely picked your perfect match!

Megan, you two are definitely a perfect match. And before even knowing you I knew you had to be one amazing person because Dan is one amazing man. We've grown up with him and gotten to know him over the years and he's such a hoot and is a great friend and a great example to everyone around him. It was great to see you there at the reunion even though I didn't get a chance to say hi. You always look adorable as ever.
