Not Exactly the Same Thing...

This morning Maggie observed while I changed the boys' diapers. She asked about one of the twins' boy equipment, pointing to it and saying "What's that?"

I told her what it was and explained that girls don't have them, only boys. She seemed slightly amused by that and said, "You're silly, Mommy! Girls have peanuts! I have some--they're in my tummy from yesterday!"

That's the last time I teach anatomy to a three year old.

When I was her age and had my brother hanging around, I remember being very concerned that his umbilical cord had fallen off- but that other thing hadn't yet. I knew there was something essentially wrong about men.

SO FUNNY!!!
when I was little, my sister called them "pea pods"
So wrong. Yet, I LOVE how little kids think.

LOL She's not the first girl to think boys look weird. Yoko Ono had a good quote. Ask me later. :)
