To further celebrate Independence Day, we went to Provo for the Freedom Festival Grand Parade. And Grand it was. Almost as grand as the red hat we all pose in year after year.
And the best part, of course, was seeing my idol {
Carole Mikita}!
Oh my heavens, I love a parade!

Maybe you can get another picture with Carol this year at the Bntfl parade. Last year's was sweet!
Okay, I can't tell if you are being sarcastic about Carol Mikita??? If you are, that is awesome, but if ou are not, I guess that is cool too.
I love that you all went together. What great pictures! And the hat is really something!
I love your red hat tradition, it cracks me up everytime. And you look so gorgeous in those photos!! :)
You can see my bum in the first picture and my sexy leg in the 7th picture. I am so famous and hot! No wonder you've had so many hits on your blog!
Here we are in Provo and didn't get to the parade this year...not brave enough to try it...afraid we'd bake in the sun...intimidated by the people who camp out the night before to get the best viewing place. Maybe you'll share your "how to find the best place" insights and we'll brave it next year. I'm a veteran of the Rose Parade in Portland but haven't been for y-e-a-r-s. Parades in Richfield were about 15 minutes long consisting mostly of semi-trucks with trailers full of Little League champions. Which relates to the Fourth of July how???
Dan - SO lovely!
