A lot of great things have happened to the city of Draper in recent years (IKEA and {a temple} to name a few). But on Saturday night I was so happy to celebrate another awesome addition to the South end of Salt Lake Valley: The flippin' {Sweet Tooth Fairy}'s second store!
Ya'll know I love me their cupcakes--really love them--but on Saturday something (probably revelation from above) moved me to order a french macaron.
It was heaven on earth. Heaven. Like, if you could turn celestial glory into a flavor, that's what these would be. The chocolate macaron part was crunchy while being simultaneously chewy. And then the frosting in the middle... oh hannah!
Plus, Because we visited the Draper location on opening day, it was a total party. The cute owner, Megan, was there (of course she was cute! her name's Megan) with her husband and kids. Everyone was so friendly and the atmosphere was so much fun. They have a whole wall filled with funky mirrors that Megan told me she picked up at thrift and antique stores. Then later, Megan's husband asked me what my blog was called and when I told him, he said that Megan loves the song Mmmbop, too. That settles it! We should be best friends.
You know what else rocked about the night? I was with my friend Kati who is training for a marathon so I got to brag to everyone that she had just run 18 miles. It's cool to know cool people.

And just like I just wrote on my blog, I hope everyone has a friend like you! You are so nice! Thank you. You are a super great example of the kind of friend I hope I can become.
Ok, so I have another reason you should come to Logan.... not only for our sweet DI, which you already know about, but the other day I saw a "coming soon" sign that said something about Cupcakes.... dang! Now I can't remember the awesome name of the place, but it's right by my house, like less than a football field away! I'll tell you when it opens.
Camille,
you let me know! And we'll hit up the cupcakes and the DI. Can't wait!
