These stands are from {Urban Outfitters}. I might have to ask for one of these for my birthday.
After I chopped my hair short last year, I've felt a lot bolder in my jewelry choices. Maybe it's that the short hair really shows off my earrings and necklaces, or that I need the extra femininity with the boycut, I don't know. But with all of my big earrings that I wear very regularly, I've realized that I really need to figure out a way to display/organize them on my dresser. The gallon sized ziploc bags I've been using just aren't cutting it. Did I just admit that I store my jewelry in plastic bags? Don't tell my {aunt Sue}!
Now my question, how do you store/organize your jewelry? How can I keep it from turning into jumbled piles of beads on my dresser?

I got the "Sculpted Jewelry Tree" from Red Envelope for Christmas and love it! I don't have a lot of jewelry, but it's big enough for all of my necklaces and earings that need to hang. I keep my watch and rings in the tray at the base.

Since I have to keep my jewlery in my bathroom drawer, I use some snap-close, see-through boxes I got from Jo-Anns made by Dritz. I sort the jewlery by color and it's very easy to find what I need in a snap.
Do you shop at Costco? I use a plastic apple case from Costco to organize my jewelry! Sounds weird, but it's basically a really big egg-crate type thing (only plastic, not cardboard). When opened, it creates little cups that each necklace, etc. sits in. It's pretty big though. Mine fits perfectly in the top/skinniest drawer of my dresser.
I just saw this the other day. My sister in law got a cute hand towel rack and hung all of her jewelry on it. I attached some links so you can see pictures of what I am talking about. She found hers alot cheaper :)

You're gonna laugh...
I bought a cork bulletin board at target and some clear push pins and did something similar to this...

The person to that link hung it on the back of a door. I wouldn't do that...wouldn't everything fall off every time you opened or closed the door? Anyway...
For my earrings with a post on them I got some ribbon that was just laying around. I chose a ribbon that's not tightly woven so that the posts will go through the ribbon. Then I just pinned the ribbon onto the bulletin board. I love it. It's an bit of an eyesore so I hung it in my closet on the wall behind the door (a somewhat hidden place). I want to put some kind of solid colored fabric (solid color so that the jewelry won't get lost in a patterned fabric) over the cork to make it look nicer. I hope you find something that works for you. If you decide to do something I'd love to see what you come up with.
Here's an inexpensive way. I guess with your talents you could "doll" it up :) Get a section of plastic canvas. or more than one if you need more room. All the little holes are perfect for the hooks. Tada!
