Have you ever tried to buy an
orange coffee table? Me neither. But I'm guessing they're not readily available at R.C. Willey. Plus, my decor budget these days is something like $10 a year. So, you can imagine when I drove past the neighbor's house last week and saw
this beauty on the curb for $5... I pulled over and handed her a wad of 50 cent pieces (yes, Dan's collecting again).
I took the table home, with a vision of how she could look. And here she is:
The table top is quite warped (I think the neighbors really used it as a coffee table, whereas ours will mostly be a Maverick Icee table once a week after the kids go to bed). But hey, not bad for 5 bucks and 3 cans of spray paint. Total cost $14.

i am really not a fan of the color orange... in fact, i used to say I hate it. however, this table, I LOVE!!!!! AWESOME!!!!!
Megan, you are totally amazing!!! I wish I could "envision" things the way you do. Very nice!!
For years we have watched miraculous decorating makeovers on HGTV, and now we are going to be doing it ourselves as we get our Provo house ready to move into, so maybe I'll come seeking advice. We are so excited to be closer to family members on the Wasatch Front. Next year I'll take some of those grapes off your hands, for sure. (Actually, they'd be off your vines, wouldn't they.) We're not sure but we think we might have a cherry tree in our back yard.
I LOVE and adore. Wow that turned out funky and classy. What kind of paint did you use? Spray paint I assume, but was it special glossy stuff? I need decorating lessons from you--have I said that before?
