Taking Turns

I am often asked which twin is the better eater, the better sleeper, the calmest, the messiest, the cuddliest, the moodiest, the happiest etc. And really, the answer is that they take turns. The other day it was Coleman's turn to be messy. He seems to think he needs to stick his fingers in his mouth between every bite, leading to food fling-age and difficulty swallowing.

The results:
Willy (AKA Mr. Clean):

Coley (Mr. Messy):

It reminds me of this classic scene from The Great Race:

Lest you think Will always emerges from meal time in such a clean fashion, let me assure you he does not. Even The Great Leslie couldn't do it.

I just watched that movie yesterday! Great minds must think alike. (the pie scene has always been my favorite). The kids are cute, despite their messiness.

Oh my goodness! All I could think while watching that clip was, "who is going to clean up that mess"? Am I stuck in mother mode or what?......

As for your boys, they are adorable even covered in green veggie slime.

Okay. Remember that nice dinner party I invited you to tonight with all the children? The rib eye and gourmet veggies one? Well. Yeah. No. No.

Actually, he looks like a sort of peas snow man.

You're going to have to decorate the house around his diet.

OK, those pictures are ADORABLE! And the first one where they're both in identical positions is so cute--they're such twins. I love it!

I've never seen that movie. It looks so funny. I'm gonna have to rent it now.

Your boys are so super cute! Even with all the mess.

One of my favorite scenes from my favorite movie! It just goes to show that playing with your food can be fun, and rather cathartic.
