This is the blessed child yesterday--really ticked off that I wouldn't fill up the wading pool for her in the back yard. It was warm outside. But only 62 degrees warm.
She's just too excited to try out that hand-me-down swim suit. It's got a princess on it for Pete's sake!

I look at that bottom picture, and I remember how delighted Ginna was to get tap shoes for her birthday - or was it Christmas. She had to put on her leos and dance around the house. Honestly, Megs - don't you think the costume is a legitimate license for the act? Fill the bathtub. See if anybody salutes it.
She wouldn't go for the bathtub. Believe me, that was the first thing I suggested. "OUSSIDE!" was her cry!
the shoes so totally make the outfit! hahahahaha!
My kids have been itching to get out side in the water too. Kanani puts her swimming suit on every day. I finally let her run through a sprinkler a couple of weeks ago and she realized how freezing it was, she hasn't asked to do it since. I know that's a horrible thing to do but it worked.
that is awesome because I remember in elementary school my dad wouldn't let us wear shorts to school unless it was going to hit 70 degrees in the day. so christopher and logan and I would watch the morning news hoping to hear a '70' out of the weatherman's mouth. but when it didn't happen we would be devastated.
I have a photo of Kirsten and Levi in their skivvies standing out in the swimming pool with about a foot of snow on the ground. They wanted to GO SWIMMING!
Poor girl! She is ready for summer!!!
You should all road trip down here to AZ. It's supposed to be 90 degrees tomorrow. I"d go swimming with her!
