Do You Know What is Sitting in my Driveway?

This is:

And we own it. (Well, I guess we own 2/3 of it, we'll own the other third after we sell our Corolla and pay off the loan sometime in the next few weeks. If you need a Corolla, let me know and I'll put you in contact with husband.)

Isn't it lovely? And the best part: When we put all the kids in it there's like 3 inches between all the carseats. So they're not squished in there so tight you have to slam the doors to get them shut. Plus, the stroller fits in the back.

Hallelujah.

Congrats! It's a beaut. What did you name him/her/it???

Remember my old college buddy Gus? He's still running. Even after I knocked off one of his doors (oops) and various other mishaps.

Ahh--love my Gus.

Gus was a doll. That Gus.

We're thinking of naming him some variation of The Black Pearl since Dan had a truck by that same name and color when we first met. And Dan had informed me that he'd purchased that truck thinking it would make him look so good that he would be sure to find a wife.

It worked. Even though I liked him before I ever saw the truck.

Black Pearl Returns?

The Black Pearl the Sequel?

BP2?

We're still working out the details.

Or maybe just Pearl?

But then that makes me think of the little girl love child named Pearl in the Scarlet Letter.

Maybe we should name the car Hester?

That is JUST SO COOL!!!!!! I think that it suites you great--- you didn't really seem like a "mini van mom" to me- you are WAY TOO COOL for that! jk Congrats! Good luck on the name!

Our big red suburban is named, "Clifford".

I can remember the car seat squeeze and you're right. You have to slam the doors to get them to shut. One of ours was a two door! Why the heck were two doors invented I ask you???

You'll appreciate this......our two door was a Toyota Tercel..... :D We've gone through two Toyota terdsmells in our marriage now. I'm sure there will be others.....

Woah! I'm so jealous right now! We just had our 5th baby and are having a hard time fitting everybody in the minivan. Ugh...the minivan...why do they have to be so practical?

WOO HOO! That's fabulous, and in my opinion much more fun than a minivan, although of course minivans serve their purpose, and are awfully easy to pile small ones in and out of.
I love it!!
