Here Comes Santa Claus...

And Maggie is NOT happy about it.

She fell apart the minute the Jolly Old Elf walked into the room. The funniest thing is that when we got home she talked about him for hours. She sat on the couch and just talked about the people she loves, "And Joel, and Chelsea, and Santa, and Ryan, and Santa, and Ma, Santa, Vera, Santa, etc."

So I said, "Do you like Santa?"

"Yeah, he's fun," she said.

Call me crazy, Maggie, but it doesn't look like you were having fun.

Which of Maggie's faces do you find most hilarious? I'm really having a hard time choosing.

I like the second one where she looks like she's hissing. I like cats.

I like the first one where she's trying to claw Dan's face off. She is so funny. And that sounds like something Max would do--be totally scared of Santa and then talk about him for hours.

And you look SO cute in those photos!!

Let's start saying that, "Yeah, he's fun."

Bless that child of yours. All three of them actually, the boys are growing beautifully. Let us get their wrestling on, although I'm not sure if it is altogether fair because Morgan doesn't have a partner.

Okay, that is Hilarious!!! I needed that, thanks:) I think the first one is my favorite-where she looks like she is going to claw Dan's eyes out for putting her even close to him.

The first...totally...these are the fun pictures that will be so neat to look back at in the future. I love how Maggie is even "throwing punches" to get away. Tomorrow I'll be posting a similar face on Karli! ;-) Cute, CUTE family picture though!

Poor Santa...it certainly doesn't help keep his self esteem in check!

perhaps we can equate this experience of hers to that of one's first roller coaster ride. You scream so loud, almost pee your pants, and your heart races. It's the scariest 60 seconds of your life. And what do you do when you get off? you get back in line to go again. She sure is a funny one, that maggie! :)

I also vote for picture #1 where she's physically trying to get the heck outta there. I think it's so hilarious how most little kids actually DO NOT LIKE Santa. My kids have always stayed far away from him. I remember once (okay, this is probably my favorite Santa story) when my oldest was about 3. Santa was at a ward (or Primary?) party and all the kids were going up and sitting on his lap, but my little guy was having NONE of that. Several well-meaning adults tried to coax him up there, and we frankly didn't care whether he went up there or not, so we just let him not participate. Anyway, a few days later we were talking to my in-laws on the phone and my mother-in-law asked him, "So is Santa coming to your house?" And I will never forget the look of shock (and horror) on his face. You could tell he was thinking, "That guy KNOWS WHERE I LIVE?!?!?" It was hysterical.

How funny! It's a great picture because it is a great memory.

I like the top one...the second one can almost be interpreted to look like she's laughing. :) Send me your email address so I can add you to my blog! aakristalynford@yahoo.com

Merry Christmas!

I like the second one!
Kathryn is deathly afraid of the big man (my husband dressed up) and screams bloodly murder if he even gets close to her. Maybe it's the age?

My kids were the same way. You know my favorite part of both pictures? Dan's face. I can hear him laughing and it makes me laugh!

Actually, I like the look on Dan's face in the second. He is obviously feeling so bad about traumatizing his daughter for the rest of her life. :D
