Maggie and I were playing in the family room the other day when she pulled the Pride and Prejudice DVD off the shelf.
"Mom!" she exclaimed, pointing at the picture of Keira Knightley.
"Is that me? It's Mom?" I asked.
"Yes, Mom!" she affirmed.
I was still wearing my pajamas at 3:00 in the afternoon that day, and the only thing I'd done beauty-wise was to put in my contacts (and that was just because Maggie kept smudging my glasses lenses). But I must admit it made me feel a bit prettier to know that in a two year old's eyes I looked like a movie star.
[P.S. Dan was a little upset that I didn't press Maggie to find out if he looked like Mr. Darcy, but I assured him he's much better looking. Much.]

She's absolutely correct because to her, you are a movie star and Her daddy will always be the man she wants to marry. :o)
I know how you feel...I mean, in Taiwan I got told I look like Kate Winslet and she is gorgeous!!! My poor companion--she was told she looked like Nicholas Cage. Two plus years later it is still funny.
I love this. It's so sweet, how the children see so clearly. If we could only believe them when they tell us. Because you should.
love it! Much better than what both my girls said I looked like. We were watching the music video that is on the new Tinkerbell movie and the chicks name who is singing in the video is Salina Gomez and both my girls exclaimed "Hey look mommy, it's you!". hmmm....I'll take that over looking like Rufio from Hook (the movie)...cause that's what I thought I looked like.
that is so cute. What a great little daughter!
