Olé!

It was awesome, folks--large amounts of fun. And with Joel being early to arrive (and thus put to work) and everybody else being late we actually pulled it off. Thanks to all the grandmas, aunts and uncles who juggled the twins while I ran the show.

We began with dinner: (Sweet pork, lime rice, and pinto beans with an array of salsas,
dressings, and Mexican toppings for making your own quesadillas, burritos, or chimichangas):
Then we moved onto the pinata (Mags got first hit then we moved up in age from there. Maggie hit herself in the head with the stick. Jamison hit it, but then hid from embarrassment when we cheered. Dan hit Lincoln with the pinata. Dan broke the stick. And then it was over. Too much candy right before bedtime):

We stopped for presents (Tutus, puzzles, darling clothes, a purse, books, lip gloss, a puppy [not real thankfully], money, and treats were given. So generous!):

Should you make choice, as I did, to ask your brothers to take pictures of your child opening presents you'll end up with this:
and some of this:

And we ended with chocolate flan and raspberry filled cupcakes:

Fue muy bien! Life is great when you're 2.

What a fantastic party!! I bet the food was awesome, and the cupcakes were BEAUTIFUL!! I love the frosting swirls! You have to teach me how to do that. I love all the pics! (By the way, it's not just YOUR brothers that take pictures like that on cameras that don't belong to them. Check out the pic on Jordan's blog right now: http://fjordypants.blogspot.com/
Elin was somewhat surprised.)

Happy Birthday Maggie! Looks so fun! Hyrum is totally in love with the cupcakes! His b-day is coming up- I will totally need some help if he decides on "cupbcakes just like the ones on that blog!" Love the pictures of your brothers- lol! Brad's brother does the same thing!

ginna- i wish we could make a pinata like that--i just put pictures of Maggie over the Hannah Montana pictures. My mom got it at the mexican market.

Jen and Kati--the frosting is so easy. I was amazed. Piping is like 100 x faster than frosting one by one with a knife. I'd be happy to help.

What a darling party! And you're right. Cupcakes rock! Those turned out great.

Love the "surprise" photo's. My grown nephews still think it is funny to take pictures of their arms by their elbows up close so it looks like someone's bum......these are grown married "boys" mind you.......

The piping looks gorgeous, so if it's easier, bring it on! Sorry I'm so ignorant--what kind of tool do you use to do it?

I've got to remember how to cook. And I will. Really. Soon. Because I want a party, too. But mostly, I just want a crown like Mags. You have such a boring, sober family.
