Struck Down

On Saturday night while Dan and I were sitting in the adult session of our stake conference, I looked over at Dan to see him send the following message to our old neighbor TJ: "Dude, I'm at church...what's the score?"

Faithful friend TJ continued to send Dan Ute football updates for the entire 2 hour meeting all the while I was checking the ceiling for any sign of lightning bolts that might come to strike my dear husband. But then I got a text as well from Hillary: "Just so you know I think of you everytime I see the dancing lady at the ute games."

Then I started picturing myself dancing in an oversized football shirt as the band rocked out and I forgot to be annoyed with Dan.

Dan dressed his boys like this for luck (he made the onesies himself):

And mother-in-law Vicki made these blankets (Chelsea is the lovely model showing off the boys):

Go Utes! But more importantly, Go Cougs! We'll see who brings it in November. I have a feeling they'll be wearing BLUE.

Oh we'll see all right, my money is on the men in red! Only because under armour pays all that money for those "We must protect this house" spots, and I think the boys take that very seriously...I know I do!

That's hilarious...sometimes I'm surprised they don't give scores over the pulpit as an incentive to keep the men there...but I have to say GO UTES!!!!!!

I love the dressing of children based on the parents tastes...can't wait for some of my own!

I'm pretty sure it would be considered heretical to announce any Ute scores over the pulpit. That is, unless they are playing the school down south and are losing.

My sister has four boys who are obsessed with football and are die hard Cougar fans. Super Bowl time came around and my sister borrowed one of her boys' cell phones and called her other son who she knew would be watching the Super Bowl. When her son answered the phone she could hear the game in the back ground. Her son busted up laughing when he found out it was his mom calling and not his brother. He told her the noise in the back ground was his room mates singing hymns.........caught red handed!!!
