Free Food and Booze(r), Carlos Boozer that is.

Dan comes rushing in last night, "What are we doing for Family Night? How about a Jazz game?" How do I say no? I don't. I stick the half made dinner back in the fridge, dress Maggie in her old school purple K. Malone #32 jersey, and hop in the car.

The Jazz don't make my heart pitter pat. Truthfully I'd rather see a movie. But knowing that the man I love goes crazy for it I didn't mind at all going along. Ryan's Jr. Jazz team somehow had some extra tickets to the game so we ate some of their free pizza and drove Ryan and another kid to the game. Our seats were 2 rows from the top. I'm pretty sure the top is like 63,874,569 feet above the court. Our view looked like this:
And Maggie was so amazed by it all that she sat there looking at the "Princesses on Ice" flyers taped on every seat and staring at the "ants" running around with a ball on the floor below us. I'm thinking if they held Sacrament Meeting in the Energy Solutions Arena, she just might sit and watch it.

Oh and then there was more free food. After we saw all the other Jr. Jazz kids around us eating free hotdogs and drinks... we went and got our own. Maggie thought she was in heaven when I filled her sippy cup with Fanta. Is that bad mothering? Don't answer that. In all, it was a great family night. Free tickets. Free food. And we beat the dang Mavericks. Sweet.

Sounds like fun. Great picture of your darling daughter. I'm thinking you could sell that "vintage" jersey of hers for some $$$.

Go Jazz! That's pretty cool that you even have a Karl Malone Jersey to fit her! :)

How fun Megs! We've sat in those seats before- they do call them "nose bleed seats" for a reason! Glad you had a good time!!

I've been considering taking my boys to a Jazz game, but have wondered how they'd do. If Maggie is any indication, we should definitely do it... I love the look on her face.

Wow I want Genevieve to look mesmerized about some event like Maggie did. Seems like a complete miracle to me. I'm glad you had fun and maybe the best part is, is that dinner is half-way done for tonight.

Oh, man I should have hung around a little longer yesterday and I might have had a piece of the Jazz action. I'm a little embarrassed to say that I've never been to a Jazz game. I like the Jazz and I like to watch basketball games--just never been presented with an opportunity to go. I watched it at home a bit closer up but there were NO pizza, hot dogs or Maggie. I love the picture of Maggie. Probably a good things that she had that three hour nap in the afternoon. She was all fresh for the game.

Oh, dear. We have tickets to the Princess on Ice thing (not my fault), and I'm pretty sure that's where we're going to be sitting. All that money to watch ants sliding across an ice cube -
