This is just too magical, I can't NOT tell you about it

So I was blog hopping tonight as I am want to do after Maggie is asleep, and I came across this absolutely romantically magical creation:It's called a fairy door. I saw it here which led me to this which made me realize that Maggie needs one really bad. Well, maybe not as bad as her mother needs for her to have one. I just think it's a little girl's dream come true. I'd have to save it until the Magster was old enough to know how magical it is, of course. And depending on her future development that might be age 3, 7, 4, or 26. We'll see how it goes...right now it's looking like 26 might be the right choice.

And I really can't explain what it is any better than this.

There. Now you'll have to get your little girl one, too.

Oh, I'm with you--Magical!!!!! I love fairies. The very thought of fairies makes me smile. Remember when we got Courtney that teacup with a fairy nestled inside it. That was magical too. We have got to make some--cause we can't pay $40 per door and we NEED several.

Megan-That girl lives here in Ohio and she is LDS!!! She is incredible...you should see the quiet book she made. She is the cutest girl in the world (I have never met her) but her blog is www.simplyradiant.blogspot.com. It is on our blog under Stephanie. She is in the other ward and she makes so many cute things. You would be supporting a good cause! ;) Her name is Stephanie Ford(is this too much info) and her husband is a resident (Ammon worked with him one time). I have yet to meet her but she seems like the funnest, cutest girl ever!

Oh....but if you MAKE one, you'll have to tell me where to get the supplies...that might be a better idea! ;) We might need three (oohhh make that four-one for me too!) around here too...Ammon might not go for $160 for fairy doors!! LOL!

Gosh I have a lot to say on this topic!!!!! Check out her blog...look under her Christmas Project post about the pincushions and her two parties she threw in October (under 2007). She reminds me of you and your mom...very crafty and in a cool sort of way. I might do the witches party next year for fun. Enjoy!

Holy Cow, I think me and Darrell both need one on either side of our bed! I hope I get the fairy that comes and does the ironing, that would save me loads of time! And I hope Darrell gets the fairy who picks up all of his 1/2 empty soda cans and socks (the socks aren't 1/2 empty - just the cans!).
On another subject, I went to Orlando last week for a work trip and the people I was working with at the hotel GUSHED about how much they loved my lovely new tote bag that I carry as my purse these days. They all wanted one so badly! I think we've got a new booth idea for Swiss Days (tote bags, baby quilts, fairy doors) - of course since Meridee is the one with the talent, she'd better get working right away on it all. I'll be in charge of the logistics and Megs and Beffy can do the onsite marketing (ie. dancing a jig in Swiss get-up's). Sound like a plan?

Megs!! I love it. I actually found a supplier for doors: http://www.manhattandollhouse.com/html/doors.html and they are pretty cheap when they're not all decked out (shipping is $5/door though!). I bet you could probably find supplies at a craft store though. . .

Tia, I've been choreographing all day. Thanks for the idea!

Yes...I have located a couple of websites too. But I'm thinking I could for sure find some at a craft or hobbie store. Thanks for the research Meg!

oh my gosh I LOVE LOVE love it! How fun, what a wonderful idea. Thanks for the heads up, you're the best.
But you know what I thought of when I first saw the door? Maybe I'm weird, but I thought of the little playroom with the little door that was in Courtney's room in your house. I always thought it was so magical and exciting in there!

I'm glad everyone's so worked up over these fairy doors but obviously none of you have boys. If I installed one of those things, who knows WHAT "magical" things would take up residence in Abe and Seb's room. The mind recoils at the possibilities. (Perhaps I should include that I heard the following comment only yesterday from Abe: "Close your garbage truck, Sebby! The monsters are leaking out!")
