On Monday, Justin brought me a bracelet he made. I put it on and told him that I loved it. The next day Ryland brought me two bracelets and a necklace. Wednesday Kylee brought me a bracelet and Andre brought me a pin. Today, Zoe brought me two necklaces, a bracelet, and a big plastic ring. This is starting to get out of hand. But gosh its sweet. I guess I shouldn't have seemed so pleased by the first gift. I just couldn't help it.
We were discussing families the other day and the different roles that family members have.
- I asked "What things do you do in your family?" Responses included: "Take out the garbage." "Clean my room." "Help with dinner." "Feed the dog." Etc.
- I asked "What things does your mom do for your family?" Responses included: "Go to work." "Make dinner." "Take care of the kids." "Do the laundry." "Clean the house."
- But when I asked "What things does Dad do for your family?" Kylee yelled, "Sit there while Mom cleans the house." Then Kori yelled, "Watch t.v."

Hmmm. As I suspected. Teach them to say, "Daddy, this is NOT MAMA's house. We are not MAMA's children . . ." Probably the one good thing that ever came out of Redbook.
You kind of have this wonderful eye into the real workings of real families, huh? Scary.
Maybe you should have a treasure chest of jewels that you keep at school. Useful for many things -
Hah. I like that interpretation of mom/dad roles. Sounds about right, doesn't it?!? :)
