For Christmas, we pooled our gift money, cashed in our big change jar, and bought ourselves a new stove and microwave. With the microwave above the stove I feel like I gained a whole new countertop as well.
Only problem is that now I can't blame "that crappy old oven" when I burn dinner.

Pretty darned spiffy. We have a new oven and my wife blames it on not knowing how to use it when she burns stuff.

Aren't you glad you live NOW instead of when they had kitchens with big fireplaces and cookpots on hooks, or brick ovens out in the yard? Oh, yes. I'm grateful.

one of the reasons I shy away from glass top is because I heard they aren't good for canning, is that true?
