Stuff I'd Hate to Forget, part 3

The argument I just overheard between Maggie and Coleman. He was screaming, "Gimme!" And she was screaming, "Never!!!!!" They were both tugging on a piece of pvc pipe like it was really something worth having.

Something about a 4 year old screaming "Never!" really makes me laugh. I didn't intervene in the fight so I could enjoy laughing about it.

Okay, we have the same sense of humor (which I already knew) because I was already laughing at "Never!!!" and just picturing that in my head was very entertaining.

Ha ha! Let's just hope they are not fighting over a PVC pipe when they are teenagers.

"Never." Wonderful. My kids were really kind of civilized - but one time, the moment the visiting teachers walked through the door, Gin and Cam started that kind of fight over a flipping pizza box. It was like something in a sit-com: "MINE" "MINE" seesawing back and forth with that thing. I'm kind of glad to be a grownup. But I woulda hidden around the corner with you today and rolled around on the floor, my shirt stuffed in my mouth so they wouldn't know . . .

hahahaha!! I get so frustrated when my kids fight, but the other night I discovered humor in the fight. The key is for me to be completely unable to intervene and listen to Louis try and take care of it. So here's the story, cuz I'll never blog it... Charles hit Kaylee so she's screaming her head off and Louis is trying to talk to him about why he hit. Charles (close to hysterical) tells him, "Because she was going to punch me." Why was she going to punch you? "Well, because I scared her, like, I mean, I scared her real good, REAL good and so I'm sitting there laughing my face off and then she tries to punch me, so I defended myself and hit her." Hilarious!
