Sicky McSickersons

The twins are sick again. Their breathing sounds like Darth Vader; their noses look like booger fountains, and they just want to be held all day. This makes Maggie just want to be held all day as well (it must look fun to her). Wrestling, shoving, and crying ensue as my arms simply aren't big enough to encapsulate all of them comfortably and to their liking.

Be glad you're not me.

I even had to cancel my {Easter Monday} party last night which depressed me beyond description.

Luckily my mother came and spent a greater part of this afternoon feeding us and occupying Maggie so that  the sickies and I were able to nap. And luckily I married well, and my husband cleaned up the kitchen that looked like it had been bombed by applesauce and chocolate bunnies (please bless the twins will learn how to eat properly sometime soon).

I'm so glad I know good people.

Oh, I'm SO SORRY!!! :( That sounds awful. I'm glad that your mom lives close AND that you married well. I hope you get your Easter Monday party (maybe next week??) so I can hear all about it. It was so fun to read about last year. I hope the boys get better S-O-O-N!

I hope the kiddos get to feeling better very soon. It's hard being a mom with sick kids. I hope you get a mother's night out at some point too, so you can regenerate yourself. :)

It takes a village to raise a young mother.

I was obviously drawn to your post by the awesome Darth Vader picture, but your description of the "booger fountain" made my day. Hope they get better soon.

When I had little sick babies I didn't have the luxury of a mother in the same town. You lucky girl. And consider this... one of these days they'll be able to wipe their own noses. And if it helps, here's what my father said to me when we were standing in the middle of the road next to the police car investigating the accident when I wrecked my parents' car: This too shall pass. I loved my dad before, but that put him up there with the angels. And over the years, I've found it's more than comfort. It's cosmic truth.
PS Can I take something off your blog for the family newsletter?

Megs,

I've been out of the blogging checking world for awhile, but I wanted to say thanks for being practically the only one who ever comments on my blog. At least someone likes me. I'm so sorry the boys are sick! As you know, I hate illness in my children and so I can totally empathize with the horror of it all. I hope they get happy and independent soon!
