Me + Skinny Jeans = Mid-Life Crisis

Last weekend Maggie and I went to target and I came home with skinny jeans. I'm as surprised as you are. My question for you is, can I pull them off? or should I just leave the skinny jean wearing to the youth of today and those who haven't birthed 3 children in less than 2 years?

Please leave your honest responses in the comments.

I honestly think they look really cute on you! You can totally pull them off!

I like them! I think they're very cute on you. It's those that are like sprayed on that need to stay to today's youth--and in fact if I had my way I'd burn all of them.
Anyway, I've liked skinny jeans ever since I saw Beth rockin' a pair a while back. I've wished I had her legs ever since.

You go girl!!! If I looked that good after 3 kids, I would for sure be wearing skinny jeans.

Th truth is that there will come a day when you realize that you are a world away from the young thing. There will be something you think is SO CUTE, and you put it on, and you realize that you are a woman, and that thing is designed and built for somebody without the experience, confidence, dignity (don't laugh) and authority you have now. But you won't think in terms of those words. You'll just feel old and dumpy. I know. I feel it all the time.

But you're nowhere near there yet, child-y. Wear whatever you will - what you "carry" is that vivid, laughing spirit, and I think most people can't see past that smile no matter what you're wearing.

I think you can do whatever you want until you're 30. So live it up. You look hot with or without clothes. (did i just say that?) sorry...

YOU WEAR THEM WELL!

can you pull them off? Yes!

I like that they aren't spray painted on. and that your crotch is still at its anatomically correct location....and that the jeans are a dark wash and not bright purple or blue like people sport around here (you think I jest?!).

rock those jeans lady!

p.s. My only suggestion would be to invest in some mid length or capri garments....

I'm with Erica on the "G's" suggestion. I wear those kind with non-jean type pants too 'cause they don't leave a line above my knee. Sometimes jeans can hide that, but not tight ones!

And, on the skinny jean issue, I think the real issue is having skinny calves. If you can put a pair of skinny jeans on, it means you have skinny calves! I don't, therefore I cannot wear them. Or most boots. But you could rock those jeans with boots over them if you wanted! I'm totally jealous.

I like skinny jeans with boots. I'm still trying to get used to them on anybody without boots.......so my vote is yes, you can pull them off but wear boots.....excepting spring/summer is coming so.....don't listen to me. Whadda I know?

Speaking as one who took seven years to have three kids and never lost weight in between, don't EVER beat yourself up; just be healthy at any size. If you're happy you always look great. Skinny jeans are highly overrated anyway, not necessarily the ultimate proof positive of anything. You're doing fine and you look great in this picture. Maybe new fashion trends of the future will be kinder than skinny jeans. Or not. I'm just sayin'...
