To Do

I've got a few projects in my mind and I thought I'd share them before I forget them and find myself scratching my head at the fabric store or Home Depot paint aisle thinking "And I swear there was something else that I was going to do..."

  1. I want to make a {sweet oilcloth table cloth} like this to protect my table from crayons and spaghetti-o's and all like mannered objects that make their ways into my children's hands.                         p1040567 <span class=
  2.  I bought a big ugly framed artwork of sorts from D.I. for $8 with the intention of turning it into {a chalk board} like this.
  3. A few months back I spotted {the most adorable playroom} on Ohdeedoh.com. My favorite part was the word "READ" on the wall. So I bought me some letters to recreate it.megtour-READtoppic.jpg
  4. When I was in Logan last week I went to Hobby Lobby. And I realized that I need one of those by my house. There's one by Daybreak, and Layton, and Logan, but that's not good enough. With young children like I've got, proximity is key. The store has everything--Christmas ornaments year round, coin collecting paraphernalia (Dan's latest obsession), craft supplies, cake decorating gadgets, enough fake flowers you confound you. Incredible. So, item #4 on the to do list is to write to Hobby Lobby and tell them my town needs them. Bad.

I LOVE Hobby Lobby. I was so excited when they came to Utah. There isn't one close to me either! Could you include my town in your letter too:) I LOVE the playroom. Can't wait to see yours!

our hobby lobby is in the ghetto so I rarely go...seriously worry for my safety and the safety of my children there.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE our oil cloth mat. I didn't make it (though I should have but got too lazy). We have used it on the floor for snacks, on the table, outside, etc. In fact I'm getting another one when we move since I find myself needing two all the time (but can't think of why at the moment...go figure).

They don't have my oil cloth one anymore but these are the new ones they have:

p.s. I have that picture of the chalkboard frame saved as well...I can't wait to do something like that!

excellent projects! I loved Hobby lobby when we lived in kansas city, I went all the time. I really miss it out here. Roberts just isn't the same. Not at all.

Love your plans. Did you see that chalkboard on Little Green Notebook? I have that marked to make on myself, one of these days. Love it! And I adore the READ letters. I for sure will have to do that one. Don't you just love projects?!

I love Hobby Lobby but it's an hour and a half away from me-- boo to that!
Cute projects- I might have to steal some ideas.

I luuuuuuuv Hobby Lobby, and I don't have one by me, either. I love all the decor ideas you posted, especially the READ one. SO adorable!! As far as what to print in your super orange frame.... maybe just inspirational type words?? "live, love, dream, believe," that kind of thing--you know the kind you find at places like Hobby Lobby. Or you could put more Mom-ish words in there, like "pray, be nice, wash your hands, don't touch that, pick up your stuff," etc.
