Just Wait Till You See This!

Oh my word. I got into my car this evening after singing my guts out at Wii American Idol (You just should have heard my duet with Cam of Wannabe. Victoria Posh Spice Beckham herself couldn't have come close to it.)

But when I got into my car, can you even guess what I found on the passenger's seat? No, not a crazy person--although haven't you always been afraid of finding an insane person in your car because of that ghost story with the headlights, you know the one...

Anyway, I found these:
Aren't they the absolutely most adorable and hysterical cupcakes you've ever seen in your life? They're t.v. dinner cupcakes that Beth made from the book Hello Cupcake. I could just look at them all day. Just look! There's mixed veggies, and mashed potatoes and gravy, and a drumstick!

I can't imagine eating them. But probably tomorrow when the kids are screaming and Maggie has ruined yet another thing in our house--I'll eat one and I'll really like it. And it will probably calm me down. So then I'll eat another one.

Thanks, Beth. I love them so much I could cry.

What on earth??!?! How did she do those mashed potatoes and butter? And now I must know . . . were they tasty??

Yes, Narilyn they were tasty. We haven't eaten the mashed potatoes yet, but Maggie and I have eaten 2 1/2 of them now. The drumstick was seriously HEAVENLY. I'm not even kidding you. It had a doughnut on the top and I don't even know what the coating was probably graham cracker crumbs or Nilla wafer crumbs on top of the frosting...I throughly enjoyed it. Looks and tastes like the carrots were starbursts and the peas were jelly bellies. I'm guessing the butter is a starburst even though I haven't tried that one yet.

"The cupcakes were so dang frusn good!" exclaimed the delighted BYU co-ed.

Wow, impressive...and I laughed out loud when you mentioned being scared of an insane person in your car because of the creepy headlights story. I seriously think of that almost every time I get into my car at night. I'm so glad I'm not the only one! :)

Megan, do you have that book?!?!? It is amazing and one of my favorites! I might make the bunny feet cupcakes for Easter. We all just need to open a cupcake shop someday. Start thinking of a good name!

Beth is amazing!! You both are and I love it. Those cupcakes are too cute!!! She did such a good job on them!

On April Fools day my sister in law played a dirt trick on her two kids... Dessert first and they were CUPCAKES!!! The catch was that they were meatloaf with blue mashed potatoes on them! One of her kids could not quit spitting and crying over it! lol! It looked good to me :) LOVE your haircut! AND come over anytime and see these cute cute chicks! I cannot believe how much they have already grown! We got them at the Farm at Thanksgiving Point. I am really wishing they had blue...
