For the past few weeks I have been rather obsessed with the Masterpiece Classic Little Dorrit on PBS (meaning I have not only watched the Sunday evening installments, but have rewatched the episodes online nearly every night during the week).
It's over now. But you can still {watch it online}, and you should too, if you get a chance. Like now. God bless Charles Dickens.

We love Masterpiece Theater. Good stuff. I enjoy many of their shows as well. Haven't seen this one yet, but I might just go check it out.
I've never seen it but maybe I'll have to watch it. What is it about?
Is it in the air? I've been obsessed with period dramas lately myself.
Aaaaa! My sister-in-law kept reminding me and I still forgot!! This is one of my favorite books (as is anything by Dickens) and I'm SO glad it's still online. We'll be watching some tonight; thanks for the reminder!!
P.S. Have you seen "Cranford"? That's one we watched recently and liked. Also "Wives and Daughters." Of course all the Dickens ones are great too (we have a whole boxed set of 5 or 6 of them if you want to borrow any).
oh yes. I loved Cranford. Especially the part where the cat ate the lace and they were trying to get it back. I laughed so hysterically hard.
I did not see Wives and Daughters.
Jill, it's basically about two families the Dorrits and the Clennams and about wealth and poverty and stupid government and just like any Dickens book there are serious ups and some serious downs but oh my lands it's good. And of course there's a love story.
As long as there is romance and a good snog, I am in. I also am a fan of Cranford and particularly liked the scene with the cat as well. If you have not seen North and South, it is a must. There wer a good few months where it wiggled its way into my heart and replaced P & P. Blasphemous, I know.
Sounds like something I'm going to have to check out! I love my Dickens!
Good to know this is online! I've heard it's really good, but we don't have a TV. If you've seen Cranford and Wives and Daughters, have you seen North and South (also Elizabeth Gaskell)? I think it's the best of all of them.
Loved it. But the end was a little too sloppy for me. Like, not quite enough had been explained. Like - doesn't she get her inheritance from the Clennams? I actually really liked Sparkler in the end.
And doesn't he inherit the biz? I loved Cranford.
I love all things Masterpiece and BBC if you need any recommendations I have a lot!
