Still Sick

RSV? Bronchitis? We don't know. At least we know it's not pneumonia (x-ray told us that). Still waiting for results from the lab. But poor Will is struggling. And this sickness is the only thing Will and Cole haven't shared in their lives, so that's impressive. But it's also broken our routine since now I can't let them sleep in the same room or eat from the same spoon or slobber on the same toys or nurse at the same time. Which is making mothering twice as difficult.

Maggie's got whatever Will has but she's handling it at lot better.

Anyway, that's how we are. How are you?

Ohhhh, I feel for you! And Will. :( I had bronchitis last fall and wouldn't wish it on anybody, especially a baby!! :( I hope you are making it through okay, too. I'm sure everything is a bit harder these days.

I'm glad we aren't the only ones that are sick! Not that I am getting enjoyment out of your sickness... I'm sorry!! Maybe we could get our kids together and just stick them in a room and be sick together!

You poor things! Sick kids are SO hard, especially babies. I hope they start improving soon!

I'm sorry it is so bad. Hoping its not RSV! Either way, bronchitis and RSV, viral and not much fun.

Do you need anything, besides kids better, sleep and sanity all back?

oh poor Will and Mags. I hope for quick and super improvement. And I bet keeping them apart is making things really hard. :(
Max picked up something yucky from his cousins in UT and has been coughing up a lung all week. He's doing better now though and I'm just hoping Kris and I don't come down with it this weekend!

Oh honey I hear ya. Only one cure for what you're going through. Soon as the honey walks through the door....deposit all motherly duties on him....grab ya a bowl of ice cream and go soak in a nice hot tub with all doors leading to bathroom locked.

Hey Megs! Sorry! For 12 hours every time I go to work I have to deal with what you get to deal with 24-7! It's hard!!! A good bulb syringe and lots of rest are a must. And saline. Lots of saline. I wish you were closer, I would totally help out! I hate bronchiolitis! It's mean! Hang in there...

If it's respiratory, here's what we did when Gin was very, very bad one night: we ran the shower as hot as we could stand it, closed the door and sat with her in the steam. We also took her to the hospital, scared she was going to die, and they did pretty much absolutely nothing. Their recommendation? If the child is wheezing and can't seem to breathe, bundle him up and take him out into the cold night air. So we did that, too. And then I slept all night in a tent we made out of the bottom bunk, shut off with sheets, with the vaporizer blowing straight into it. I slept with my hand or ear to her back all that night.
