Maggie-isms

Maggie talks a lot. Most of it is hard to make out, but these are some of my favorite sayings in her vocabulary:

  • "No yet"--commonly used in response to commands like "get in the tub please" or "come get ready for bed."
  • "Why? Cause."--she asks "why" a lot, but lately she's been answering herself with "cause." I don't remember ever saying just "cause" in response to her questioning, but she's picked it up from somewhere. Commonly used in exchanges such as these: "Maggie come get your clothes on." "Why? Cause?"
  • "Mom!"--yelled at high volume for no apparent reason. "Mom!" "Yes?" "Mom!!" "What Maggie?" Mom!!!!" "Yes sweetheart, what do you need?" "Mom!!!!!!" etc.
  • "Go Ryan!"--We went to see Dan's little brother play at a high school football game and since then Maggie has thought Ryan's been playing in every football game we see anywhere--even on tv. The upside is that it keeps her entertained when we watch football. She loves that Uncle Ry and yells "Go Cats!" and "Go Ryan!" When Dan tries to get her to say "Go Utes" she says "Go Cats" instead. I like it. 'Cause Cougars are cats.

What does this say about me? Jadon's response is, "I can't, I too busy."

Megs,
I'm so glad you found me in the blogging world! You are so funny! Why did we ever lose touch w/ eachother? Please lets get together and do something...seriously..not just saying that either. We can get all of our kids together and let them run a muck!

I love these -isms from Maggie! It's so fun to hear what each kid comes up with! I am familiar with the "Mom!" "What?" one as my youngest also does that. It's so cute!
