Sweetness

Lately I've been obsessed with cupcakes. You wouldn't know it really because there hasn't been any physical evidence. I don't sit around stuffing my face with them. I haven't been visiting bakeries to buy them. I've just been thinking of them and reading blogs devoted to them and frequenting etsy shops that sell things to go on top of them. Yes. Obsessed.

So, when I found this recipe for frosting and these free downloads I knew I had to make my obsession transfer over into the physical realm. Here's what I brought to Sunday dinner at the folk's house:
And they were dang good. Infact, I had so much fun making them that I can't wait to make cupcakes for all the other events and themes I can come up with. Cupcake toppers just may be the greatest things ever invented. Besides push-up bras. And flip-flops. And Sonic Happy Hour.

P.S. The cupcakey delights were filled with chocolate pudding.

those are great. I'm afraid I've been obsessed with cupcakes for about the last year. They're just so delicious and small and fun and perfect.

Hi, I came across your blog while blog-hopping and my sister (Mayme) told me how much she loves reading your blog. Your cupcakes look amazing (aside from the toppers ;D ) and I am salivating thinking of chocolate pudding in the middle of them. Yum...
Hopefully this won't seem too wierd, but I've nominated you for the Brillante Weblog Premio 2008 award. Come to my blog http://fringies.blogspot.com to check it out.

Yeah. The cupcakes look delish, but I'm kind of with some of my sisters up there. When you make a dozen for me, stick some fall leaves on them???? Or horse shoes, that'd be good. Or, let's see - little quilt squares would be cool. Pine trees. Maybe frost them like volcanos. Whooo=hooo

Well Seester, I thought the cupcakes were amazing, and aside from the buttercream frosting, the Obama toppers were my favorite part. It's the kind of cupcake that gives you a fresh hope for the future. I found a recipe for McCain/Palin Muffins though, in the interest of equal opportunity:

2 Eggs
1 tsp. Dust
2 cups Ashes
2 T. Centrum Silver
1 dash of Inexperienced Witch Hazel
