Extreme Makeover: Front Door Edition

Half of our ward has the exact same house. You can't really tell because on our street there are only us and our next door neighbors with the same sweet style of split level, but take a spin around the corner and you'll find there are hundreds. Thousands. Okay probably not thousands... but I'd say maybe 15-20.

So I've been thinking in this brain of mine..."What can we do to spruce ours up a bit?" And I struck upon it: Fancy up the door. Bingo.

We went from this:

To this:

And I'd say it's pretty cute. Amazing what a pint of paint will do.

I'm lovin' the door. It's amazing what a little pop of red, or any color for that matter, can do!

Love a red front door and you're right, it does spruce it up. I was going to do the same thing a year ago. Had it all ready to go and then guess what? THREE houses in my neighborhood painted their front door red. THEY BEAT ME! I wa so irritated and so had to paint my door green (with envy) instead..........the terds...
