What a Great Day!

My birthday was awesome. My wonderful mother and father bought me those prints I wanted for my kitchen, Cam made me a CD and a babysitting coupon, Joel and Beth gave me some awesome Christmas ornaments and cute clothes, Dan gave me roses and a green iPod shuffle. It was amazing.

I had a district math training yesterday afternoon, so before that I met with the kindergarten teaching girls for lunch at Tasty's. That was good stuff. The training was good as well. Too bad it was all about the new math program we'll be implementing next year when I'm gone.

Dan called me after school to say that Joel and Beth had offered to come up and watch Mags for us so we could go out to dinner! Hurray! I can't tell you how nice it was to eat dinner without anybody climbing on the table or spilling water in my lap. And I don't know if it made me feel better or worse when Beth told me that she thinks Maggie is insane because she is so flipping destructive. I've been thinking that for awhile now. At least she's a cute insane!

Then after dinner at Braza Grill (which is one of those Brazillian Steakhouses that has guys walking around with swords full of 40 pounds of meat that they cut off for you) we squished ourselves back in the car and went home.

Dan's family had made me a cake and gave me some really great gift cards which I love because now I can do some guilt free shopping!

I'm glad your birthday was amazing! I'm jealous of all of the free babysitting you got.

I'm glad it made you feel better that I said Mags is crazy. Because she is, but I never meant to hurt your feelings. Luckily (as you said) she's really cute, so it makes it bearable. But, what the heck? Why is she so crazy?

Mags is crazy because she comes from a crazy family. Not that everybody is destructively crazy - some are literarily crazy, some are funny crazy, some speak fake Spanish crazy, some are nice crazy.

Happy Birthday, baby. I met you the day after you were born. Who woulda known you'd grow up to be homecoming queen and get your lawn all greased up?

You have a good life, Megs.

Birthdays are great! Sounds like a lot of fun, especially the swords with 40 lbs of meat :) I'm glad your day was wonderful!
