I Heart These!

Its official: St. Valentine's Day is on its way!

bringing with it one of my favorite confections: Conversation Hearts! I love their colors, their funny messages, and their low price.

But, the best thing about them is their medicinal component. When I was in second grade, my best friend J.J. [by the way, J.J. if you're reading this, I need your email address] told me that on Valentine's Day a kid could really get sick from eating all the candy they get, but if you save all your pink conversation hearts and eat them at the end of your candy binging you'll be fine. The pink ones are Pepto Bismal. It may seem silly, but ever since second grade, that's just what I've done. The "Pepto hearts" really do seem to help. But maybe it's all in my head.

Then again, maybe they really are pepto. How do they work with morning sickness?

I love everything valentiney, the pinker, the cheesier, the better. I love your decorations, how beautiful! How do you keep from eating all of those things?
And that's hilarious about the pepto hearts--I'm a little bummed out that you and JJ didn't share the inside info with me back in the day....

ok -- that is one of the coolest things I've heard! I'm going to remember that. Maybe I should stock up on the pepto hearts.
