YOu know, I wish I hadn't been raised in the 50s. Nobody said stuff like that, then. My mom wanted us to be happy, but she spent an awful lot of her time and energy happily dusting and oiling and changing sheets and ironing and - we played scrabble on special occasions. She was loving and wonderful, but she didn't live in my world the way I lived in my kids' world. I always feel sad when I look back. Clean house. House with different worlds packed into it. Very small venn in the diagram.
