Maggie is 4!

Our dear Maggie turned 4 on Sunday. So, we had a party. Since her favorite color (and the only color she knows with 100% accuracy--does she have the colorblindness gene that is rampant in our family?) is orange, we based the party on that.

We ate orange food: carrots, cantaloupe, Cheetos, Doritos, cheddar cheese quesadillas, jalapeƱo peach jelly and crackers, a variety of orange beverages, and orange cupcakes and cake!

Guests wore orange.

Presents were opened, to Maggie's sheer thrill and delight!

And everybody went home with a favor: homemade peach jam.

Maggie went to bed that night wearing brand new princess pajamas with a 'my little pony' toy tucked under each arm. I think her every four year old fantasy came true. She even broke out the cheeser grin for pictures.

We love you, Mags!

Wow, breaking out the cheeser grin, huh? That musta been one good party. ...Actually, that's what I was thinking BEFORE I saw the cheeser grin. I swear, you come up with the most darlingly adorable ideas for all your parties!! The orange theme is so stinkin' cute. The orange food, the orange guests. Cute! The cake made me want to touch it (okay, crawl into it). YUM!!! Way to go, Megan!!! And happy 4, Maggie. :)

I forgot that Maggie actually has a chance at having colorblindness. Orange is her colorblind uncle's favorite color too...

Oh HAPPY BIRTHDAY MAGGIE! I LOVE that her favorite color is orange, because that is Scoty's favorite color too, for the exact same reason, it is the only one that he can clearly name....maybe they are meant to marry each other! Does she mind marrying a younger man...by 18 days?
