Maybe I'll Give it a Chance

I haven't watched American Idol since Jennifer Hudson got voted off 5 years ago (was it 5 years ago? I made that part up). But I heard there was a Mormon boy from Murray, Utah that was one of the wonders of the new world. So last night I watched.

He sang John Lennon's "Imagine."

and I almost cried.

He's no John Lennon of course. But he's sweet and he's got some pipes. Go Mormon boy! I just might watch you again sometime.

I loved his performance last night, he has some serious talent! I love how he smiles and giggles when all the girls scream and go crazy for him... Rumor has it that Brooke White is LDS too, but I am not sure.

Isn't there a Mormon Chick too?

Oh DUh....maybe I should read the posts ahead of me before I make myself look stupid. Too late.

Bless his heart and stuff, but this dude has my last name and he's from the city where I live, not to be confused with the city where I grew up - Morgan. All of these things warrant hundreds of emails asking if my brother is on American Idol. No, not my brother. Not even close.

YEAH! Did you know I'm from Murray!? David Archuletta lives two houses down from one of my really good friends.

Also, Brooke White is Mormon, she's from Mesa. I don't know her but we have a couple of mutual friends. with all these connections I should probably watch the show. When is it on?

Ok. I am excited that you are a blogger! I found you through the Boyer's blog. Be sure and ask Billy his opinion about blogs when he comes home teaching!

Okay- so I'm totally going through American Idol withdrawal. I used to watch it when Steve was studying, but now I don't get any free TV channels...so no AI. I watched this kid on You Tube though and he's great!

I'm sad that this kid is only 17. And that's all I have to say.

His last name? I never heard it in my life till I came here - and there was some manager at Grand Central who had that name. They'd always call him over the PA - Mr. Archelleta, call on line One -
